Did you know that in Esther 2:7 Hadassah is Esther's name? In Hebrew it means Myrtle. In her year preparation to become a queen, the tradition of the time, or as stated in Esther 2:12 her days of purification, Esther was "...six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women". It is a good probability that the oil of myrtle was one of the "sweet odours" used in her purifying.

We are told that the essential oil of myrtle is effective for normalizing hormone imbalances of the thyroid, hypothyroid, and ovaries. It is also found to be soothing to the respiratory system. A good immune builder and balancing oil for a young woman who is about to embark on a life changing experience!
